Form of workWe are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a state-of-the-art Mental Health service in Nottingham. This full-time Consultant Psychiatrist position comes with a market-leading salary of up to 155,000 per year with a 5000 joining bonus, a 4000 re-location support package, research opportunities in a bespoke research & development programme and more excellent benefits.

To give you an idea of how this Consultant Psychiatrist role looks, here are some of the areas you will be working in:
- Take responsibility for patient treatment plans
- Assess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service users
- Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatment
- Participate in ward rounds & clinical audits
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers' hearings & attend hearings
We are looking for someone who is
- Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified and a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status
- Experienced & knowledgeable in adult psychiatry & mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients
- Committed to continued professional development
