The Role
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to support the growth and development of the WIRED Consulting team and its clients. Our branded content programmes are exceptional - they put our clients at the heart of thought-leading events, digital and print content. And they are taking off!
We are looking for a Consultant to help us continue to scale-up our thought-leading branded content programmes, ensuring we curate, design and deliver stand-out engagements that keep our clients coming back for more. This is a hands-on role that will see you immerse yourself in the design and delivery of our work - overseeing the execution of programmes and creation of content that requires deep commercial thinking, hands-on client management, careful curation and the highest levels of quality assurance as they unfold.

Born out of WIRED UK, WIRED Consulting brings the WIRED network and knowledge to business leaders across a range of industries. Our team of sharp thinkers is passionate about leveraging WIRED’s brand, network and knowledge to help businesses to navigate, talk about, and have a positive impact in our changing world.
Working directly with the WIRED network, WIRED editorial and events teams, and Conde Nast’s project management function, we provide inspiring, creative and educational solutions to meet client needs. We do this through expert-led inspirational talks, insight-led strategy reports, and programmes of work that fuse events, co-branded content (online articles, infographics, ebooks, videos, co-branded magazines) and community-building.

What will you be doing?
  • A passion for the trends and technologies that are shaping our world / clear alignment with the WIRED brand
  • Past experience in creating and/or overseeing the delivery of stand-out content
  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write compelling, winning proposals
  • Proven track record of generating revenue through client relationship building and excellent project delivery
  • Proven track record of leading successful projects that positively impact clients’ businesses
  • Significant experience in a B2B projects-based business
  • A commercial thinker who can translate insights into implications and actions
  • A curious mind with a passion for solving problems and finding answers
  • A proven ability to guide, motivate, teach and inspire other members of a team
  • A strong team player
  • A client-centric attitude
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop new solutions or creative executions
  • Understanding of business trends, global affairs and macroeconomic principals
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience and strong academics
  • Desirable: experience of events and workshops
Who you are:
  • You’ll be generating revenue by
    • Building trusted relationships with existing WIRED client accounts
    • Operating in a consultative manner that sees you respond to client needs, and develop solutions that deliver on their objectives
    • Producing high-quality, well-thought-out proposals that lead to profitable sales
    • Overseeing, and quality-assuring, thought-leading programmes of work
  • Working with the team to innovate our offer and take our Branded Content to new heights, in line with client and market needs
  • Working closely with our Commercial Editor to not only keep on top of trends but also to ensure the WIRED brand is front and centre in our proposals and outputs
  • Working with other internal WIRED and Conde Nast teams to ensure that we leverage networks and internal strengths
  • Working closely with the project delivery teams to ensure that client expectations are met
  • Developing best practice ways of working as we scale up the team
  • Helping us to build our knowledge base, develop expertise and become a centre of excellence across a range of topics
  • Helping create a fantastic culture and a brilliant work environment, as we scale the team
Where will you be?
We encourage hybrid working but when you are in the office, this role will be primarily based in the wonderful Adelphi building with breathtaking views over the Thames and next to the hustle and bustle of The Strand. This is our London HQ and where members of our global teams sit enabling all of our award-winning content to be created.
