Central Employment are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading UK Consumer PR Agency, as they look to recruit a PR Account Director to join their growing office in Manchester.
Circa £50,000-£55,000 DOE

Consumer PR Account Director:
- Forming a deep understanding of the issues affecting your clients’ business and the sectors they operate in.
- Being able to offer a high level of professional advice around the general PR & Social Media agenda.
- Attending professional events, such as business awards dinners etc and creating opportunities to get to know clients outside of the direct work environment.
- Ensuring the team deliver effectively against their campaign work
- Hosting weekly and monthly team meetings to plan and assess work v goals
- Advising and coaching team as necessary
- Conducting ongoing meetings to evaluate team performance and professional development goals are met
- Referring staff issues / outstanding performance to line manager where/as appropriate
- Interviewing and hiring of new staff (junior to your role) if required
- Ability to coach team members with professionalism and fairness
- Being confident to deal with any negative issues in a mature and coaching-inspired manner
Consumer PR Account Director:
Working in a highly supportive team handling campaigns for some of the UKs leading Consumer brands, you can expect to work on a range of campaign activities that span traditional media relations, social media and influencer outreach, events, photo and video shoots. You should be confident in planning and delivering integrated campaigns, working closely with our in-house design and digital studios where relevant.
You will need at least 3-5 years’ experience at PR Account Director level as the nature of our client campaigns is that they require solid management experience.
As a senior leader within the team you will be expected to be skilled at hosting client discovery sessions, accurately interpreting client requirements, writing proposals, estimating work and attending new business and pitch opportunities.
