Job description

Main Duties

Pebble are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Manager & Content Creator with a passion for storytelling, who will help us evolve our brand and will assert our brand voice in a range of content formats across social media.

This role will involve working closely with Design, Growth and Sales teams to develop high quality content for parents and children’s activity providers with the aim of growing our following and increasing brand awareness.

This role is perfect for Content Creators or social media managers with a min 1-2  years of experience who want to join an up-and-coming tech startup. You’ll have lots of responsibility, fast-track your career, have creative freedom and work with a variety of mediums and people. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Youtube with the aim of increasing engagement and followers but also have a commercial angle to content.
  • Create and manage all brand content that will be going live, from concept to completion (including shooting video and images, editing and posting).
  • Write and edit content for a variety of projects ranging from thought leadership to more tactical campaign activity, across a range of content types and formats including print, website copy, blog posts, both organic and paid social media, video, email campaigns, and other collateral.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain consistency with our brand style guide and tone of voice, and adapt for different platforms and their usage/audiences.
  • Edit and proofread externally commissioned copy.
  • Be flexible to shoot great content, working with parents and activity providers in a range of locations within the UK.
  • Input into the content strategy by researching relevant keywords and  potential angles/themes for future content.
  • Staying up to date with social media trends within the industry as well as positioning favourably compared to our competitors.
  • Perform content audits to assess how well existing content is performing and refine the content strategy accordingly.
  • Support with the production of our Pebble People podcast.
  • Sourcing and managing influencers to help with collaborations and posts.
  • Sourcing and managing like minded companies and brands to run competitions and collaborations with.

Skills and Experience Required

Key Skills

  • Previous entry-level industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications,  design, or related experience.
  • Ability to create social first content, both graphics and motion graphics with tools like Canva, Splice, CapCut and other design/video editing software. Bonus points for familiarity with one or all of:  Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, After Effects and Capture One.
  • Comfortable being in front of the camera and producing content for social media.
  • Strong knowledge of various social media platforms, their functionalities, different ratios, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and an understanding of high performing formats across each platform.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to liaise with multiple departments and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Excited to join a growing start-up and great aptitude to learn.
  • Equally comfortable working in teams and independently.
