The Content Manager, APAC Digital Platforms (based in Tokyo, Japan) is a member of the APAC Digital Platforms and Operations team, a part of the APAC Marketing and Loyalty organisation. In this role, you will deliver best-in-class content experiences for our audiences across APAC, with a key focus on Japan. You will showcase your creativity and passion for customer experience (CX) as you develop and deploy content and cross-platform marketing for Hilton on web, app, email, LINE, to name a few. As a natural collaborator, you will work daily with global, regional, hotel teams and agency partners to successfully bring our campaigns to life on each channel. As a data-driven marketer, you will obsess over tracking performance and optimising each customer touchpoint to be relevant, distinct and impactful to our audience.
This position is a new role based in Japan, Korea and Micronesia regional office in Tokyo (Shinjuku).
What will I be doing?
As the Content Manager, APAC Digital Platforms (based in Tokyo, Japan), you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead the content experience on Hilton’s Japanese enterprise website. You will collaborate with Hilton teams and agency partners to develop content and creative for key pages (e.g. home page), building new campaign pages and maintaining content and creative updates (e.g. latest offers, new hotels, seasonal destinations) to deliver impactful customer experiences and drive website conversion.
  • Lead the content experience on Hilton’s enterprise LINE account for Japan. You will collaborate with Hilton teams and agency partners on content planning and development, message creative, audience segmentation to drive impactful engagement and build direct relationships with our LINE audience. 
  • Manage the retailing calendar on Hilton’s enterprise marketing channels, including web, app and eMail. You will intake requests from APAC marketing teams to use each channel to promote their campaigns and propose solutions to meet their business needs. Once you secure buy-in, you will collaborate with Hilton teams and agency partners on content planning and development, message creative, audience segmentation to drive impactful engagement with our target audiences. 
  • Support the activation of enterprise, brand and regional marketing campaigns on Hilton and partner platforms – use data and insights to recommend relevant customer journeys and experiences to achieve campaign objectives. Once you secure buy-in, you will collaborate with Hilton teams and agency partners to lead the campaign activation of each channel. 
  • Participate in Hilton’s digital roadmap by providing data and insights on customer behaviour and preference to propose more relevant and impactful content experiences for the Japanese audience. You will partner with Hilton’s regional and global technology and content teams to propose and prioritise bringing new experiences to our platforms. 
  • Support and coordinate content and creative review process with between internal teams and agencies - develop marketing briefs, provide feedback on creatives, gather approvals from campaign leads and timeline management. 
  • Lead tracking and reporting of performance on Hilton’s enterprise marketing channels and platforms – using data to identify performance gaps and recommend action, propose test and learn opportunities and develop channel best practices to optimize and maintain content and creative performance.

What are we looking for?
The Content Manager, APAC Digital Platforms (based in Tokyo, Japan) serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
[Must] 

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in content management/ marketing channel management/  digital marketing role
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Japanese and English to support both the local market and collaborate with APAC and global (US) stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, good time management – will need to work effectively with remote manager in Singapore, predominantly over email and virtual meetings.
  • Project management skills and experience – process and detail oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
  • Experience in managing agency partners – this includes developing marketing briefs, and a keen (creative) eye for reviewing and giving feedback on content and creative deliverables.
  • Desire and ability to learn and adapt on the job – technical skills (CMS, Analytics) and soft skills (communication, collaboration, presentation).

[Nice to Have]

  • Copywriting skills and experience – even basic marketing copy (ad copy, short descriptions).
  • Analytical skills and versed in working with web analytics products and digital KPIs – experience with Adobe Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience in planning and managing marketing campaigns and operations.
  • Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrixed organization.
  • Entrepreneurial, thinks outside the box - able to propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track.
