Hours 24 hour live in care. 2 weeks on/2weeks off rota
Payrate £130 per day
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Yes. Will have access to employer’s vehicle for transportation purposes
DBS Check Yes (This will be funded by the employer)
A bit about me:
I am a 54 year old female, I live in my adapted house with my husband and my cat. I enjoy a range of hobbies and activities, living life to the full and being as socially active as possible. I have a great love of books and reading. I am an avid sports fan, especially cricket. I am an ardent fan of musicals. I like to attend the theatre as often as possible and like nothing better than to celebrity hunt after the show. I also enjoy going out for meals and coffee with friends and regular visits to the cinema. I am a full time power wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and quadriplegia.
About the role:
I am looking to employ x2 PA’s who can provide me with 24 hr live-in care working a rota of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rota. I need support with all activities of daily living, including personal care. It is requested that the applicants be female due to the role providing intimate personal care. For this reason, it is exempt under the general occupational requirement section of the Equality Act 2010. Some hoisting may be required. Other tasks to include, helping me plan a 10 day menu and my online shopping order, preparation of main meals/snacks and drinks, support with feeding. General household cleaning and laundry. To assist and support me to continue to access my local community to include trips to the theatre, cinema, sporting events, meeting with friends for meals and coffee etc. Also support with household admin eg typing correspondence and emails, payment of bills. You would have your own bedroom and bathroom, own TV (full sky package), use of main kitchen or meals can be taken with myself and my husband.

To respect confidentiality and privacy and be sensitive to my needs. To understands that dignity and independence are important. Able to accept responsibility. Be willing to learn and able work on your own initiative.
