Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:00)

£50,000 - £60,000 (Plus Bonus)

The Candidate

• Ideally educated to degree level in process, engineering or materials or equivalent experience.
• Experience within a Food Manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience in process, engineering, or materials
• Experience of using and/or implementing CI and Lean techniques such as 5S, problem solving, Standardized Work, Visual Management etc.
• Training in Lean techniques and Lean Six Sigma Qualification.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Enthusiastic, quick learner who is keen to make their mark in a manufacturing workplace.

The Role

• Develop the CI strategy, processes and documentation for CI roll out and implementation along with the other members of the Management team.
  Introduce new techniques through training and coaching.
• Collaborate with Production Management to monitor performance, resolve issues and explore effective solutions whilst driving CI.
• To support the wider Production team where required in activities such as recruitment, training, ER issues and labour organisation in accordance with company procedures.
• Facilitate the application of Continuous Improvement techniques for example "Practical Problem Solving" and Lean methodology to drive performance improvement.
  These should include Waste reduction, Machine availability improvement and financial improvement through cost reduction or value creation.
• To use established principles to ensure that the site is organised in the most effective manner.
• Project Management and delivery of initiatives and capital expenditure projects
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Line Management.
