We currently have a Contract and Quality Assurance Monitoring Officer (CQMO) post available within our “Start Well” section.
You will be supporting providers of services for children and young people both in and outside of Bolton, for example SEND Children’s Homes, SEND Specialist Schools, LAC, Alternative and Resource Provisions. As a valued member of our Team, you will be responsible for the quality, contract monitoring, and improvement of the services mentioned above. You will need to be flexible as you will be supporting the team and providing assistance where it is most needed. A full induction program is available when you start.
You will manage the relationship between the Council and our providers with the aim of developing and maintaining effective, positive working relationships as well as working collaboratively with a range of other key departments/organisations.
You will work proactively to evidence that providers are meeting the Council’s contract requirements, that they are delivering a high quality and safe service and are working to continuously learn and improve. You will also be expected to regularly visit providers within their own premises.
About You
You will have a demonstrable understanding of contract or Quality Monitoring and improvement and/or experience of working in a social care or health environment.
You will have excellent all-round communication skills, have well-developed networking skills, and have the ability to build effective relationships with providers and partner agencies. You will have an inquisitive mind and be confident to challenge when our regulator (Ofsted) standards are not being met. Working collaboratively to achieve outcomes will be second nature to you.
You will be competent at analysing multiple information sources and report writing. You will be passionate about quality services and feel comfortable with talking to children and young people, their carers and families. As noted, the role requires travel both within and outside of the Bolton area.
This interesting and rewarding post will play a vital role in delivering the department’s responsibilities in commissioning high quality services. You will join the team at an exciting time when the Council is seeking to reshape and join up service provision to better meet the needs of our customers.
