Job Description
- Planning, implementing and monitoring the ethical compliance function of the group of companies including each of the overseas operations and ensuring that the ethical policies of the group are kept up to date
- Develop and implement an ethical compliance training plan, working with the People & Talent, the Legal, Ethics and Compliance and the Finance teams as appropriate and considering optimum dissemination of training, eg. webinars, presentations, telephone conferences, online tests.
- Ensuring any ethical compliance training is reviewed at relevant periods depending on legal, regulatory and corporate requirements (eg. quarterly, annually).
- Coordination of ethical compliance audit activities and communication of expectations and reporting results
- Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
- Continued monitoring of laws and regulations and update internal policies as appropriate
The Successful Applicant
- Previous legal and ethical compliance function experience essential
- Experience of supporting international businesses on strategic level transactions and issues
- Private practice and in house experience
- Experience of contract negotiation with experience in negotiating NDAs and MoUs a distinct advantage although training can be given
- Good experience of data protection laws particularly UK GDPR
