As we continue to expand our operations, we seek an accomplished Contract Manager to spearhead project delivery activities, with a keen emphasis on CDM, HSE Compliance, and effective Man Management.
The Role
Ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
Manage projects to meet phased deadlines when applicable.
Actively engage with stakeholders including Clients, Designers, Principle Designers, Principal Contractors, Subcontractors, and Workers to fulfill CDM duties and obligations.
Conduct regular project meetings with the project team to maintain alignment.
Facilitate frequent site meetings with site teams and subcontractors for streamlined communication and coordination.
Establish and maintain regular communication channels with customers to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Facilitate contractor hiring and responsibility allocation.
Set and enforce SHEQ standards for all visitors, contractors, and employees through comprehensive induction, briefings, toolbox talks, alerts, and awareness campaigns.
Oversee and manage SHEQ compliance measures.
Effectively performance-manage site-based project staff.
Liaise with clients and manage arrangements during project handover.
Foster information circulation and effective communication to ensure comprehensive understanding and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Develop and communicate detailed methodologies for complex or site-specific tasks to operatives.
The Candidate
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects for diverse clients.
Proficiency in overseeing Subcontractor Civil Engineering projects, particularly in Drainage and Groundworks.
Collaborative approach to management and problem-solving.
Champion open and honest communication among all stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen.
Flexibility and resilience to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
Engineering background or relevant degree in associated civil projects.
