Working hand in hand with internal stakeholders, primarily our Operations team, this role offers the opportunity to implement best practice supplier and contract management to safeguard the expected relationship and commercial benefits over the full contract and supplier lifecycle. This role is vital to ensuring our supply chain is positioned to support and deliver the outcomes our operational colleagues requireAs the contract and supplier manager you will- Understand contract intricacies to ensure consistent application of price/spend controls, capture of rebates, discounts etc- Act as a point of escalation to troubleshoot contract-related problem/issues ensuring SW's commercial position is protected- Manage contract variations to ensure rigor in changes to commercial terms- Maintain a view of all contracts under management to ensure proactive plans in place covering extend, renew or close out- Ensure suppliers remain compliant with all terms of the contract- Minimise or eliminate risk factors related to the contractual relationship- Nurture positive long-term relationships with the supply chain.The role requires a high level of personal responsibility and autonomy to act within the delegated area of responsibility. The role involves operating in a complex, multidisciplinary environment and requires the highest level of inter-personal, communication and influencing and negotiation skills to ensure delivery of objectives. You will need demonstrated commercial acumen with strong problem-solving and an analytical mindset, you will be confident in in creating presence while driving outcomes with stakeholders and the supply chain.Reporting to Senior Contract and Supplier Manager, this role offers the opportunity to further develop your skills and expertise working alongside a supportive and friendly team Contract and Supplier Management team.You will be based at Durrington or Falmer, at least 1 day per week the remainder of the week will be spent travelling to other sites across the region so a full drivers licence and own car is a requirement for the role. When you aren't on site the option to work from home on a hybrid basis applies.You will use your Contract Management, CIPS qualification or equivalent within this role as well as your excellent communication skills, be highly influential and able to manage expectations of stakeholders across the business.
