Job description

We are looking for a higher skill set for the Band 7's.

Temporary assignment/Located in City centre

Key skills:

* Ideally SIA holders - Security Industry Accreditation - SIA specifically for CCTV, monitoring, capturing people - this is due to them being able to understand the legal framework for CCTV.

* You will be required to pass a DBS test but can work under supervision whilst the DBS results are awaited. You must pass a DBS check as you will be working in a multiagency control room with a police presence and can hear sensitive/confidential information.

* Knowledge of a CCTV systems.

* Control Room experience - This can be in any kind of busy multi agency control room, so any emergency service, any transport related control room or utility type control room. That should mean they have some experience of call handling/incident management/network monitoring/team working.

* CCTV - experience and use of CCTV systems ( doesn't matter which type - we will train them on ours) which means you should know how to use CCTV i.e. what it can and can't be used for/be familiar with the legal framework around using CCTV i.e. GDPR/Information Governance/processing CCTV downloads.

* Ideally, some network knowledge of the GM transport/Highways network.

Role responsibilities:

  • Multi Modal monitoring, reporting and interventions .
  • Active and dynamic management of TfGM modal transport network in GM at all times.
  • Participate in incident response and special event plans, whilst monitoring the network. Ensuring plans are proportionate and meet network needs, providing specialist advice on current network status.
  • Act as a triage escalation point for member of the public via emergency call points and operators via the emergency incident line on Leigh Guided Busway.
  • Manage and develop relationships effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the travelling public, operators, stakeholders and internal TfGM departments.
  • Accurately monitor data and identify any inconsistencies, conflicting and reoccurring input.
  • Monitor all TfGM premises and assets, providing Out of Hours service for Fire and Intruder alarms on bus interchanges.

· Required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation future aspirations around agile working

· Provide 24/7 cover

Will be required to work unsociable hours, evenings/weekends/overnight to meet service demands
