On offer is the opportunity to join an international company who manufacture materials with a big focus on environmental sustainability, they have multiple sites around the UK and ongoing projects include expanding production and opening new facilities in the coming year. They are looking for an Automation expert to assist their installation and maintenance of a new facility in Bristol.

This varied role will see you responsible for various aspects of automated machinery including debugging and writing PLC code on Allen Bradley, carrying out install and upgrades of Rockwell software, perform routine maintenance and improve general reliability of PLC / SCADA systems across the site whilst ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to.

This role would suit a Controls Automation Engineer or similar looking to work for a well-established company who offer a great opportunity to progress, be involved in major growth plans for the company and give you an excellent benefits package.

The Role:

• Maintenance and general reliability of PLC / SCADA systems
• Debug and write PLC code on Allen Bradley machinery
• Install and upgrade Rockwell software
• Carry out PLC training to improve colleagues understanding
• Monday to Thursday - 7AM-3:30PM, 7-2:30PM on Fridays
• 10% Bonus based on personal / company performance
• 25 days plus bank holidays entitlement
• On-Call rota - 1 week in 6, paid as OT.

The Person:

• Controls / Automation Engineer or similar
• Background in PLC's, SCADA, HMI
• Commutable to Portishead (Bristol Based)
