Controls Engineer

Are you a Controls Engineer looking for your next contract?

One of our clients is looking for a Controls Engineer with experience in the Subsea industry.

The ideal Controls Engineer will demonstrate technical expertise, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.

As a Controls Engineer, you will supervise and analyse the systems involved with equipment production as well as optimise the design, layout, and device placements.

This company is leading the way in the off shore equipment design and dominating the offshore engineering space. The client has won a number of projects which requires contract staffing resource. This role is for an initial 6 months starting ASAP (extensions expected)

This role is based in the North East and is deemed Outside IR35.

The ideal Controls Engineer will have subsea/renewables engineering experience and a strong background in EC&I.

The client is looking for candidates with the following experience:

• PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
• Designing of SCADA/HMI applications
• Design of Ethernet and serial networks
• Manufacture and assembly support
• Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
• Client support - on-site and remote (occasional site travel preferred)
• Peer review of engineering designs
• Experience level - ability to work on projects without direct supervision. 5+ years.
