Controls Engineer

My client is a leading specialist equipment manufacturer with clients in the petrochemical, drinks, food, nuclear, pharmaceutical and other industrial sectors. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit a Controls Engineer to join their specialist electronics team. As a Controls Engineer you will be part of a team that designs high quality bespoke monitoring and control systems for their equipment. You will be a key player in a team that specialises in the customisation of software and hardware to meet customer's requirements.
Your day to day responsibilities as a Controls Engineer will include:

• programming of Mitsubishi, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC control systems in ladder logic
• configuration and programming of Beijer and Allen Bradley HMIs
• evaluation and testing functional performance prior to system commissioning
• remote support of commissioning engineers
• system problem solving and fault finding

Applicants will be expected to have a strong background in Controls Engineering including previous experience of PLC programming using ladder logic and HMI configuring and programming. It is expected that candidates will have a degree in electronics engineering or similar.
