Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation & Controls

Escape Recruitment's client, a leading provider in the marine industry, is seeking a talented individual for the role of Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation & Controls. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, initially based in Scotland's central belt for training, with the flexibility to be based from any location throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine on-site overhaul, repair, and service operations on marine instrumentation and control systems.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external teams.
• Repair, install, and commission systems on customers' vessels.
• Conduct sea trials and commission equipment, including Stabilisers & Naval Steering Gear control systems.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant legal and company procedures, including Health & Safety policies.

Requirements:

• Qualification in marine/electrical engineering or Instrumentation & Controls discipline.
• Previous experience in a Field Service or customer-facing role preferred.
• Willingness to travel worldwide at short notice.
• Valid UK Passport or other current permission to work in the UK.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Experience in project management is advantageous.
• Excellent conflict management skills.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice.

Work Location:

This is a global field-based position with a significant requirement for travel based on customer requirements.
