If you have a background in industry, either as a maintenance technician or maintenance engineer or you may have a previous Field Service Engineering or mobile technician experience. The company are happy to consider a strong mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled background, as long as you have worked on manufacturing equipment, to fault find and repair any form of breakdown. The company will provide you with excellent and fully paid for training to provide you with the necessary skills to help support your transition into their industry sector. They just need the technical skills and background, with the desire and motivation to provide a great engineering service to their very diverse customer base. The Job You’ll Do;

• A home-based role, where you will travel to your customer sites on a variety of service visits.
• Routine service & maintenance of the industrial equipment,.
• Preparation of annual insurance surveys and NDE Examinations.
• To participate in supporting the company with product testing prior to despatch.
• To support the company in the commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of products to overseas clients.
• Coordinate activities when working with apprentices and/or less knowledgeable or skilled engineers to meet customer expectations and utilisation.
• Work in a confined space when appropriate.
• Undertake routine service, cleaning & maintenance activities on associated equipment.
• Participate in providing and supporting the company’s 24 hr breakdown cover.
• Competently undertaking servicing, both in gas and oil.
• Undertake repair or replacement of failed components and be competent in the diagnosis of common faults and reinstatement of replaced equipment.
• Provide and deliver product familiarisation when handing over commissioned products to the client.
• Lead by example to ensure colleagues and Trainee/Apprentice Service Engineers understand and comply with both company and site-specific Health & Safety procedures.

About You;

• You will have worked as a maintenance technician/engineer or you have may have been a Field Service Engineer previously and worked on range of manufacturing/industrial equipment.
• You will be either mechanically or electrically biased. They are very open to your trade background.
• You will possess excellent fault-finding and repair skills.
• You will have the necessary qualifications related to your technical specialism.

The role is home-based, where you will manage your service visits to develop long term relationships with your customers and provide them with your technical expertise.
