Field Service Engineer – Security

We have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer within Security systems to join us at Honeywell, in Scotland, where you will be responsible for Maintenance and service tasks relating to Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance of Honeywell Security systems. This is a field-based role working Monday to Friday with an on-call rota requirement that includes weekends.

Key requirements

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and attend daily reactive breakdown calls in line with agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Undertake small works projects, and manage these works from initial design through commissioning, to completion and handover.
  • Enhance customer systems and generate additional revenue through reactive quoted works, such as software additions, controller/equipment upgrades, and lifecycle planning through legacy upgrades
  • Working with Honeywell’s Building Integrator Front End and driving system integration and efficiency through software solutions

Key skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience in an engineering role within the security industry with knowledge of Door Access, Intruder Alarms and IP CCTV
  • Knowledge of Information Technology and Operating Technology (IT/OT) equipment and practices to include Server hardware, Windows Operating Systems and networks
  • Good understanding of software strategy with head end and system integration knowledge
  • Customer focused attitude with good judgement and logical problem solving skills
  • Experience within BMS/HVAS systems along with Fire system knowledge would be advantageous
