Role: Controls Engineer

Our client, a market-leading engineering and manufacturing business located in the Milton Keynes area, is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their growing team. Do you have experience in PLC setup and programming, along with a knack for troubleshooting technical issues? If so, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and program PLCs, supporting the client's electrical products.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers, addressing queries and specific applications.
- Conduct fault investigations and tests to evaluate company products.
- Design and deliver training courses/presentations to European subsidiaries.
- Create operation manuals and technical guides.
- Collaborate with the global development team to deliver innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or HND Qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Software, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, IO-Link).
- Familiarity with pneumatic and electrical test equipment.
- Project planning and management skills.
- Technical product support experience.
- Experience delivering technical training.
- Knowledge of PLC engineering tools: Tia Portal, TwinCAT, Studio 5000.
