About the role
Business Daily Group is looking for a talented copywriter to join our growing marketing services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled writer to join a forward-thinking marketing and media business with a focus on the facilities management and rail sectors, where there’s plenty of room for growth.
As our new copywriter, you'll be involved in every aspect of marketing at BDG. You will be working closely with the marketing and digital teams to produce captivating content for online and offline, including websites, print magazines, social media, advertising campaigns and general marketing collateral.
The successful candidate will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style and experience working under pressure to tight deadlines.
About you
Being creative is an essential skill. You will have a brief to work to, but, at the same time, you will be expected to come up with new ideas. You'll need to find innovative ways of interpreting the brief to create fresh, informative and compelling copy that captivates your audience and communicates to them effectively.
It is vital that you can take criticism about your work in a positive way. As well as having a thick skin, having a sense of humour always makes life easier!
It also helps to be up-to-date with the latest news, views and trends in the facilities management and rail industries. You should try to keep your eye on the ball, know what’s hot now and what will be the next big thing.
Key responsibilities
- You will be expected to execute briefs across all required channels and to ensure that your executions are consistent with brand equity and guidelines.
- You will be expected to operate collaboratively with the marketing team, and across all departments within the agency where required, and to produce outstanding solutions on time and on brief. Often, super-fast.
- Writing and maintaining website content (ensuring SEO tactics is desirable)
- Writing content for social media ads and marketing campaigns
- Writing newsletter content to be sent out to client mailing lists
- Interviewing clients, writing and sending press releases for campaigns
- Producing copy for marketing brochures
- Proof reading copy produced by colleagues
Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
- Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
- Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, company, or target audience at hand
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends
- Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
- Competent at using WordPress CMS
- Excellent social media skills (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter essential)
- Experience of writing for rail, construction, energy, manufacturing or FM-related industries is desirable

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
