The Role
The Corporate Actions Analyst within this Asset Management firm will cover all investment operational aspects of Corporate Actions and Proxy Voting. Products will be Long Only and Hedge Fund products.
The Corporate Actions Analyst will also be focusing on providing Investment Operational support to the Trade Processing Team and Middle Office Functions. Corporate Actions Processing and Proxy Voting and will also form part of the role.
The Corporate Actions Analyst will assist with management of failed Equity & FX trades including liaising with custodians/prime brokers/brokers.
The Corporate Actions Analyst will collate and process all types of Corporate Events including DRIPs, Optional Dividends, Bonus Issues, Stock Splits, Rights Issues, Open Offers, Priority Offers, Mandatory Stock Dividends, Mergers, Tender Offers, Spin Offs, Demergers.
The Corporate Actions Analyst will liaise with Asset Management Portfolio Managers internally and liaising with Custodians and Prime Brokers to elect on Events.
The Corporate Actions Analyst will Proxy Vote for candidates Pooled and Managed Funds and will complete Middle Office tasks including static data management, setting up new instruments & new client accounts.
The Candidate
3 years+ of Corporate Actions experience
Experience of trade settlements would also be beneficial - equities ideally
Experience of proxy voting desirable but not essential – a willingness to learn
Operational understanding of global equities.
Experience of the LVTS Longview Portfolio Management System & Beauchamp Accounting System would be an advantage, but not essential.
Systems competent / proficient in Excel.
Ability to work in a team and to communicate clearly with an attention to detail and accuracy.
