Solutions Architect

M365 / Azure Solutions Architect required to join a growing business based in Farnborough.

The Architecture Team provide the vision and direction, through the generation of plans and designs, for both the business and its customers alike, based on evolving needs, changing markets and current business requirements.

Ideally you will have a broad technical background with a strong working/in-depth knowledge of Microsoft M365/Azure technologies. Technical familiarity with VMware vSphere and associated technical eco systems will be an advantage.

This role will require you to design solutions for the customer, assist third parties with onboarding software/infrastructure in to the customers M365/Azure and working with Solution/Project Engineers to implement the solutions you’ve designed. You may also be required to implement your solutions individually, or become involved in diagnosis of issues on some occasions.

• Work as part of a team or individually to design, implement and consult around the M365/Azure platform.
• Take responsibility for building relationships with customer staff and producing solutions around their needs.
• Liaise with third parties to integrate solutions they may be providing into the customers infrastructure.
• Be involved in presales activities including writing proposals for solutions.
• Work alongside other teams to deliver services to the customer, including project managers, solutions engineers, business consultants, desk top, help desk and project engineers.
• Be an escalation point for other teams who provide support for the customer should they require it.
• Help guide, mentor and train junior staff to support their development.

Some of the skills we are looking for

Must have:

• A relevant degree or equivalent IT experience.· Design and hands-on experience of M365 tenant.· Experience with PowerShell scripting.· Technical expertise in general networking (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, routing, firewalling, reverse proxy, etc.).· Technical familiarity with Citrix and associated technical infrastructure.· Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of differing solutions, and to give full attention to what the customer is asking.
• Ability to work with third parties to integrate their software with the customers M365/Azure environment
• Ability to use logic and reason to troubleshoot and fault find.
• Technical familiarity with VMware vSphere and associated technical eco system.
• Technical experience in the full stack of Microsoft Windows Server Technologies (Active Directory, Internet Information Services, and general Windows Server technologies).
• Specific experience in delivering solutions that utilise Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• Cloud solution design experience in M365/Azure.

Nice to have

• Consulting / MSP Background.
• Advanced level Qualifications, such as, M365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
• M365/Azure backup solutions, for example Veeam.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, 27001 and Cyber Essentials.

The role will be hybrid, based out of the Farnborough office, and working 35 hours per week over two shifts, 08:00 to 16:00 and 10:00 to 18:00.
