This is the job
Joining the AA as a Cloud Solution Architect, you will design and implement scalable, secure solutions in the cloud utilising Azure and AWS to ensure smooth functioning of cloud systems with minimal downtime.
You will collaborate with all stakeholders to identify business needs and develop Cloud Solutions. You’ll also evaluate and enhance our cloud providers, establish best practices for cloud adoption, and support our technology functions to monitor cloud privacy and address technical issues.

What will I be doing?
- Ensure Cloud Solutions follow governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices
- Take lead role in maturing the Azure environment in line with the vendors best practices including defining design principles for platform/applications to build cloud vendor (AWS, Azure) agnostic services
- Assist project and operations teams to build, deploy, and support new services in our cloud environment as well as enhance our current capabilities. Act as a technical leader in architecture for project/development teams ensuring project goals are achieved and on time
- Develop and drive Solution Architectures that will enable applications to have exceptional operational qualities such as high availability/performance, seamless integration and high quality/reliability.
- Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents
What do I need?
Essential:
- Strong demonstrable experience within Solution Architecture, with a focus on Cloud computing and integration
- Key knowledge of cloud-based technologies in particular Azure and AWS
- Experience with data integration, APIs, and messaging platforms
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills with the strong ability to challenge, influence and persuade to all levels including Senior Leaders, Executives and Directors
- Passionate about future emerging technology trends, able to identify gaps and implement thought-out solutions
