SalaryOur client is looking for a junior associate from an NQ to 2 years' PQE to join their Corporate Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for direct client contact and transaction experience from early on. They will be expected to assist senior associates and partners on transactions and to have responsibility for elements of various deals including investments, M&A and JV work.
A genuine interest, and willingness to be involved with Business Development in our key sectors would be an advantage.
The role will have a varied and interesting mix comprising day to day advisory work alongside transactional projects. It will include supporting more senior fee earners on all key transaction documents (SPA, investment agreements, JVAs) and responsibility for leading on some aspects such as due diligence and research. It will require coordination with the firm's high-profile employment, tax and commercial teams on investments and acquisitions.
The successful candidate will:
- be a newly qualified solicitor with up to 2 years' PQE;
- have high level of technical knowledge in the area of corporate law, especially private company M&A and investments;
- possess a strong academic background.
