Senior Corporate Legal Counsel

A leading international specialty insurance firm are currently recruiting for a Senior Corporate Legal Counsel to join their expanding team in London.

The Corporate Legal Counsel will be responsible for a variety of transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and intercompany agreements.

The main responsibilities include:

• Transactional Legal Work: Execute and oversee various transactional legal matters
• Expansion Focus: Drive legal initiatives supporting the strategic expansion plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to navigate legal complexities
• Inter-Company and Master Service Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate inter-company agreements and master service agreements, ensuring legal integrity
• International Travel: Occasional travel to the USA and Europe

Key skills and experience required:

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales
• Extensive experience in the insurance sector, preferably with in-house experience, showcasing a deep understanding of industry dynamics
• Proven experience handling legal matters on an international scale, navigating diverse legal landscapes
• Ability to contribute fresh and innovative ideas to the legal team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Strong understanding of delegate authority within a Corporate Legal framework
• Fluency in another language is beneficial but not essential
