Role: Corporate M&A Knowledge Lawyer
Location: London
Salary: £140,000
Our client, one of the world's most respected law firms, is looking for a Knowledge Lawyer to join its Corporate M&A team in London.
The successful candidate will be tasked with driving and supporting knowledge and training for the group, including the Corporate Finance practice and providing assistance in particular in relation to listed public company advisory work.
You will be responsible for ensuring that corporate knowledge is easily available to lawyers, increasing the quality and consistency of the firm's advice to clients and to help the firm deliver better legal solutions. You will also be responsible for:-
- Drafting, updating and developing precedents and assisting with the automation of the Group's precedents and other legal content;
- Keeping up to date with and providing updates on key legal developments / commercial/ industry knowhow impacting the Group;
- Responding to ad hoc requests from lawyers;
- Providing legal input into client-facing initiatives, including client alerts and assisting with client training;
- Helping drive the planning and delivery of training;
- Collecting and inputting the Group's know-how into the Firm's global knowledge databases and resources and identify and resolve any gaps in know-how;
- Supporting the adoption of Knowledge systems and promote the Group's business and Knowledge plans.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Substantial experience as a practicing lawyer within a London Corporate practice.
- Deep knowledge of corporate finance law, regulation and market practice applicable to listed companies (in particular the Listing Rules, Prospectus Regulation Rules, DTRs, Corporate Governance Code and Companies Act)
- Good knowledge of law and market practice in either or both equity capital markets and private M&A;
- Good knowledge of law and market practice in other areas of corporate law e. public M&A, private equity and/or funds
- Excellent communication and organisation skills;
- Experience working directly with senior counterparts on strategy and execution;
- Experience in or willingness to engage with document automation and other legal tech.
