We're recruiting for an well established and successful Solicitors, for this new opportunity, working alongside another Receptionist of this respected firm.

Please find all the details below:

Job Title: Corporate Receptionist

Location: Canterbury, Kent. This is an office based position due to the nature of the role. No parking on site, therefore if you live locally to Canterbury this is ideal so you can walk to this office in the City centre location.

Salary: £19,000 increasing to £20,821 in April

Hours: 35 hours per week (08.30 - 16.30 or 09.30-17.30 on a rota basis) with a 1-hour lunch break

Your daily duties would be to:

  • Be the first point of contact for all clients and visitors to the office and deal with all enquires in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Be one of the first points of contact for all telephone calls to reception and to deal with them all in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and maintain the security entry fob system for the building. To ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the office.
  • Manage general reception administration such as accepting deliveries, taking, and checking client identification, card payments, issuing receipts, booking couriers and petty cash etc.
  • Work with the Office Manager in maintaining the presentation of the reception area, meeting rooms and complimentary client benefits.
  • Oversee the booking system for meeting rooms for internal and external clients. To effectively manage the hot desk and car parking diary for visiting staff.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up to specific requirements for internal/external meetings.
  • Ensure refreshments are provided to internal and external clients, as required.
  • Organise catering for in house events, for example lunches, client receptions etc.
  • Ensure the kitchens are kept in a neat and orderly manner. To order and replenish catering stocks.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post each day.
  • Ensure that items are sent in the postal system on the same day to provide a prompt turnaround service to our clients.
  • Maintain an appropriate supply of postage stamps for urgent letters.
  • Deal with archiving of any deeds, trust documents or probates.
  • Assist the Office Manager with the storage of closed files and sending these off for scanning.
  • Liaise with the Office Manager with regards to office facilities such as car parking, stationery, general office maintenance and utilities.
  • Liaise with the cleaning company to ensure a satisfactory level of service is provided.
  • Work with the office manager to ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to within the front of house areas.
  • Be the appointed first aider for the office and manage first aid kit stock.

Required skills, experience and specifications:

  • Previous client services experience - ideally from a hospitality background.
  • Approachable and helpful manner.
  • Good understanding of excellent client care.
  • A smart and presentable appearance with an excellent telephone manner.
