An exciting opportunity has arisen within a trade union for a Corporate Relations Deputy Manager, on a fixed term contract basis covering maternity leave. This is a varied role. You could get involved in anything from researching industry trends, to presenting sponsorship proposals to clients. You’ll ensure negotiations are managed effectively and that sponsors are valued.
As well as exceptional customer service, you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of innovative approaches to sponsorship and corporate partnerships. You will be a skilled communicator balancing the sponsor expectations as well as strategic objectives.
You will influence critical decisions about the commercial proposal, negotiations, sponsor selection and the fulfilment of sponsorship projects.
Some duties include:
- Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors and partners with a view to building long term relationships and generating income.
- To work jointly with the Corporate Relations manager to line manage one member of staff
- To deputise for the Corporate Relations manager at key meetings when needed
- Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors and partners with a view to building long term relationships and generating income
- Increase income from sponsors, identifying mutually beneficial partnership opportunities; write engaging proposals, presenting opportunities to clients and negotiate rates. This covers, the whole spectrum of activities including sponsorship, events, campaigns, advertising and learning opportunities
- Identify and approach potential partners and sponsors, meet partner companies on a regular basis to discuss and evaluate on-going activities and to build long term relationships.
