Your new firm is a well known, award-winning, established accountancy practice based in the heart of Manchester City Centre. A growing presence in the UK, this firm offers a variety of advisory and accountancy services to a number of different client types across the UK. Service lines include audit & assurance, business growth, cloud accounting, payroll, corporate finance, tax planning, tax accounting and tax advisory. Having large growth plans in Manchester, the taxation service line is now looking to bring in a strong Corporate Tax Manager or Assistant Corporate Tax Manager to help build and grow the Corporate Tax offering.
Your new role
You will be joining a strong tax team of 10 in Manchester and working alongside an existing Tax Manager and Tax Partner. You will take responsibility and support with all Corporate Tax activities, getting involved in both compliance and advisory work. You will manage your own portfolio of SME/OMB style clients, acting as a real-time business adviser with your client base. Also, as part of this role, you will support the firm\'s overall Corporate Tax responsibility, assisting with a compliance portfolio and any tax advisory queries. As part of your technical tax work, you will also be involved in team management as well and helping growth the Corporate Tax offering through networking and other business development activities.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you need to come from a strong Corporate Tax background having 2-3 years post-qualification experience. You will ideally be either ACA, CTA, ATT or ACCA qualified and be confident in delivering Corporate Tax compliance and tax advisory solutions. You will be involved with an OMB/SME portfolio, so experience supporting that type of portfolio is an important aspect of this role.
