Corporate Tax Lead

I have a new and exciting opportunity from my client, a mid-tier Firm within the Top 20. They are looking for a Corporate Tax specialist to join their tax department, to build a Business Tax team.
This opportunity offers plenty of progression up to Partner level, if desired, and is a 'blank canvas' in terms of role.
Your new role

• Working alongside the Head of Tax for the Firm, who will provide you with ongoing support, you will assist with planning the creation of the Business Tax department, by either utilising existing employees keen to develop their careers in this area, or from external hires.
• You will manage a portfolio of clients, initially hands-on with compliance, and be the lead on advisory projects for the Firm until you have sufficiently built your team, then delegate work as needed.
• Clients range from complex groups to SMEs and Owner Managed Businesses.
• From here you will have a licence to develop and expand the client base. You will be supported by the Partner network in place (currently 13 Partners), along with a dedicated marketing team for you to utilise.
• You will grow and develop your team, mentoring them as needed.
• Visit other regional offices to build your presence and your team may be split across these offices (Surrey and Hampshire).

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA) or a qualified tax professional (CTA) having trained in Practice, with Corporate or Business tax as the core of your role. You will have the ability to manage a team, be involved with planning work rotas to suit client needs. You will have compliance and advisory skills and be prepared to be involved with the compliance side in the initial stages of the role until the team is built. You will then have the opportunity to grow your portfolio, via networking, business development and the use of the marketing team.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary depending on experience up to £95,000. Flexible working options available revolving around core hours, 2 days working from home. Progression to Partner if desired. More details on application
