Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties is proud to be supporting a leading manufacturing business, in Northamptonshire for a short term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing the company's costs, assessing cost-effectiveness of products and processes, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities;
• Analyse manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost control measures and process improvements.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and assist in inventory management initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing cost-related inputs and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements:
- Will consider a strong QBE or Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, standards, and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
The contract is a minimum of 3 months and will be hybrid working.
