My client is a global manufacturer who specialises in the design and building of key machinery used in the construction, infrastructure, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, energy and utility industries.
Their products are manufactured in 6 different continents and sold across the world.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Cost Accountant, based at their site in Dungannon, County Tyrone with Hybrid working. This position offers an opportunity to begin your career with a fantastic company who continues to surpass their own expectations year on year.

Roles & Responsibilities;
- Assess current machine costs, including materials, labour, and overhead, and establish annual standard costs.
- Conduct month-end inventory organisation closure and provide data to facilitate the financial monthly close cycle.
- Develop monthly financial spending and absorption trackers for management review.
- Analyse machine margins to ensure profitability.
- Oversee and manage the New Product/Process Development (NPPD) process for determining new machine costs.
- Compile costing information to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Manage inventory levels, including addressing obsolete inventory, approving cycle counts, and conducting cycle statistics and audits.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the business.
- Produce monthly and quarterly analyses of direct labour efficiencies.
- Support the Financial Controller in creating site scorecards and management reports.
- Deliver information to managers in a clear and easily understandable format.
- Maintain procedure documents and oversee SOX testing to uphold a SOX compliance score of 90% or higher.
What we are looking for;
- Previous experience working within Cost Accountancy within a Manufacturing Environment.
- Strong systems knowledge and proficient in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft word.
- Experience of working with Oracle would also be desirable though not essential.
- The ability to work to prioritise and thrive under pressure in a fast-moving business meeting tight deadline.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- You must also be able to demonstrate that you are a results focused individual with the energy and drive to make it happen.
- A third level education, ideally in an Accounts capacity CIMA/ACCA/ACA, is desirable
