Form of workWe are looking for a Cost Engineer to join PM Group working for us in our vibrant Manchester office.
Job Title: Cost Engineer
Location: Manchester
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Responsibilities
As a part of the Commercial, Contracts and Risk (CCR) department you'll be supporting our EPCM (Engineer Procurement and Construction Management) delivery of services on a clients' projects.
In this varied role you'll be providing accurate cost data enabling EPCM project delivery, as well as monitoring and controlling against project budgets. You'll also be in regular contact with clients working on purchase orders, works assignments and change orders as well as invoicing and issuing estimates.
You'll also work with internal stakeholders to prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts and status updates to project managers as well as working with proposals teams on new bids.
Qualifications
- Previous Cost Engineering experience
- Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. engineering or quantity surveying) would be useful but not essential
- Specific sector related experience including; Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental and Gas.
- Self motivated and proactive
- Strong organisational skills
- Methodical and logical approach to work, with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
