Part Time

Your role: You will provide sound advice to readers on all manner of problems and write clear, insightful, informative and empathetic copy for the Dear Deidre section. This will involve sign-posting and referring readers to charities, support groups and other organisations to help them move forward through their issues. The role requires strong research and writing skills and a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to have a positive impact on Sun readers.This will suit someone who is dedicated and creative when it comes to problem solving.
This role is a part-time position working 13-hours a week.
Day to day you will:
- Provide timely sound advice to readers, often researching information and resources for all manner of issues.
Signpost readers to charities, support groups and practical help to help them move forward through their problems.
Help support the problem page team as required, including updating the support packs and writing content for social media.
Help coordinate the content plan throughout the week and help to manage forward-planning.
Contribute ideas and take on additional research and writing duties as required.
Take on ad-hoc responsibilities to ensure the success of the team
Key Skills and Experience:
- Able to offer readers sound and non-judgmental advice so they can move forward with their lives.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - strong writing skills are essential.
Can type minimum 50 words per minute.
An ability to adapt to a changing work environment as required.
Punctual and is always prepared to put in extra time and effort where necessary.
Able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Highly organised with strong literacy skills.
Personable, professional and a confident communicator.
