SalaryWomen’s Counselling and Therapy Service is an award-winning charity working with women and girls on low incomes who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access Counselling and Therapy. We believe in a world where all women and girls enjoy good mental health and flourish.
We provide a general service together with a range of specific projects, and work in partnerships across Leeds. Due to an increase in funding, we are recruiting for a:
Counsellor / Psychotherapist
8-16 session team
Are you exceptional and looking to make a difference to the lives of marginalised women? If so, we are looking for you to join our friendly and supportive team.
These posts offer the opportunity to provide therapy for women who:
- have experienced complex trauma
- who are in many cases living with the consequences of violence and abuse
25 - 35 hours per week (Negotiable, to include Wednesday morning, Friday and one early evening to 7pm). Based at Leeds City Centre office.
Salary £28,361 - £39,921 (pro rata) depending on skills, experience and training plus 5% employer pension contribution.
Higher salary (up to £46,728) may be available for a candidate with specialist qualifications / experience.
We offer regular external clinical supervision, reflective practice groups, peer support and a generous individual training budget for professional development.
Applications are invited from qualified female counsellors or psychotherapists who are accredited (BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC) or eligible for accreditation, with a minimum of 450 client hours. If you have fewer client hours and extensive experience of working in a mental health role please contact us for an informal discussion.
