Courier Operations Clerk

A new position is available for a Courier Operations Clerk (non shift) to join this well established, Ashford based UK & International Freight & Courier Agent.

Duties for the Courier Operations Clerk

• Helping to organise the courier team
• Keeping an excel spreadsheet of orders
• Stocktaking end of each month
• Picking and packing orders
• Dealing with constant online orders
• Raising house AWB using the in house system courier navigator
• Tracking the shipments and updating clients
• Speak to clients and take orders over the phone
• Giving out quotes for specific shipments

Experience and Skills for the Courier Operations Clerk

• Previous courier ops knowledge
• Excellent Verbal and Written comms skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic IT skills, Excel & Word experience
• Good Basic Geographical knowledge
• Able to use own initiative
• Good basic numeracy skills
• Car driver preferred but not essential

Employment Terms for the Courier Operations Clerk

• Mon-Fri 9-5.30
• Paid o/t if required (Occasional)
• £26-27k DOE
• 20 days holiday plus BH
