About the Role

At Ravensbourne we are looking for an experienced and passionate Course Leader for our Character Design & Concept Art BA. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new course and develop a team which will exist closely to our current BA Illustration for Communication sister course.

Illustration is one of our Design School’s most popular disciplines. We aim to expand the pool of talent working with our brilliant and ambitious students in this dynamic area.

About You

We value a range of skills and are keen to hear from you if you are currently working in industry and have suitable teaching experience.

You have:

  • Significant experience of teaching and leadership at BA level, and an understanding of the responsibilities that the role brings.
  • An industry track record and recognised profile in contemporary illustration, with currently published work across both digital and print media.
  • A solid working knowledge and the ability to teach all relevant software platforms, with a specific focus on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and 3D modelling tools such as Blender.
  • A thorough knowledge of drawing fundamentals with a focus on anatomy, colour and perspective.
  • A relevant qualification at MA level.
