We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a reputable mainstream secondary school in the Ashford area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring the continued development and well–being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage classroom activities during the short–term absence of regular teachers. Deliver pre–prepared lesson plans, maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports student learning and behavior. Manage classroom resources and maintain a tidy and organized learning space. Assist with student inquiries and provide academic support as needed. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior. Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school day. Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well–being of all students. Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in any discipline (education–related degree preferred). Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. Adaptability and a willingness to follow and implement lesson plans. Excellent organizational and time–management skills. A passion for education and a commitment to the success of young learners. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one.
