GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Doncaster. If you have a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of students, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The School is looking for someone who can start ASAP!
What the role will involve:
- Supervising lessons that have been set by the class teacher
- Setting high expectations of behaviour and learning from the outset of the lesson
- Ensuring all students are working on set tasks and assisting where possible
- Ensuring all school policies regarding behaviour and uniforms are enforced
- Supervising classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
