An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join Stafford Leys Primary School as a Cover Supervisor on a Fixed Term basis until 26th August 2024. We are looking for someone who is determined and professional with a willingness to learn.
The Cover Supervisor is responsible for supervising whole classes during the teacher training, teacher planning time and staff absences. The Cover Supervisor will assist pupils with their work, respond to questions and uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom. Where cover is not needed, the Cover Supervisor will support with other classroom duties and 1:1 support for children. This is an ideal opportunity for playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the cover provision of the school ensuring the success of our students.
For the right candidate, we are open to discussing this role as a Higher-level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) position with the right qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will:
• Be NVQ Level 2 qualified (or equivalent)
• Have HLTA Status (Not essential and will be dependant on job role)
• Have experience in a classroom environment
• Have experience of supporting the emotional needs of children
• Have the motivation and passion for being part of a successful school team
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills
• Have the ability to contribute to the progression of learning
