Axcis Education is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with a reputable education trust based in Leeds. We're actively seeking experienced Cover Supervisors with who have supported SEND students in SEND settings, this role is a full-time permanent position starting in September.
The school caters for diverse group of learners aged 4-16, delivering comprehensive support for individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, cognition and learning difficulties, and physical or sensory disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and delivery to ensure cohesive educational experiences.
Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
Implement learning activities and adjust according to pupil needs, promoting effective engagement.
Manage the utilisation of support staff within the classroom
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes
Utilise experience in working with pupils with a range of special educational needs to cater to diverse learning requirements.
Plan and deliver programmes and interventions to meet specific student needs, ensuring targeted support.
Contribute effectively to the planning and preparation of learning activities
The ability to work proactively and independently
Requirements
Completion of NVQ Level 3 in the relevant discipline, equivalent/higher qualification, or relevant experience
Experience of working as a Cover Supervisor in an SEND setting
Experienced in behaviour management and physical intervention - Team Teach Training would be highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills
ICT literate
An enhanced DBS on the update service
Right to work in the UK
A good standard of English, both verbally and written
