Form of workHorizon Teachers is currently working with a secondary school to fill the vacancy of a Cover Supervisor in the Borough of Slough. This is a long-term position to start ASAP all the way to the end of the academic year. The reason this role has come about is due to previous Cover Supervisors progressing onto doing their PGCE.
The role of a Graduate Cover Supervisor:
- To supervise classes in the absence of the subject teacher
- To liaise with the appropriate staff about the work that has been set
- To provide the students with clear instructions relating to the work that has been set
- To provide support in other areas of the school when no cover is required
- Must have strong classroom or behavioural management skills
