Job description

We currently have an opportunity for a CPU Orders & Rations Clerk to join our team at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester. What you’ll do: 


Collate orders from Units, Messes and CPU
Place daily orders with Sodexo nominated suppliers
Ensure paperwork for transfers is accurately completed for ad hoc collections
Check incoming deliveries against delivery note supplied
Contact suppliers and report any discrepancies or quality issues
Record temperatures of deliveries made
Liaise with Store persons to ensure orders are completed in full before delivery
Ensure billing is prepared daily and accurately for CPU produced food and prepared vegetables
To assist with weekly stocktakes and post in timely manner to meet financial procedures 
Provide cover for other administration duties for holidays and sickness when required
Assist Chef Managers and Head Chefs with information for function planning
Delivery of customer service and satisfaction to colleagues and client
Timely deliverance of paperwork
Timely completion of ordering processes
Compliance with all Sodexo Policies and Procedures


What you bring:


People Friendly, Customer service skills are essential
Good knowledge or Word & Excel
Able to work within a team environment
Good communications skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable 
Basic Knowledge of food is preferred
