Grade B - £39,390 (National Framework) or £ 44,792 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home

Contracted Hours: Full time 37 hours per week or compressed hours/job share will also be considered.

You will join a small, high performing team of change professionals, working across the organisation to drive priorities and standards of programme and project delivery. You will work closely with a professional community across the organisation delivering all types of change in a recently transformed digital service-based environment.

As a geographically dispersed organisation, we work remotely day to day, but recognising the value and importance of team collaboration and face-to-face contact, you would be expected to travel to one our office locations at least twice per-month.”

In the role you would lead on developing and overseeing the effective use of best practice management controls as applied to our portfolio of change programmes and projects. Specifically, you will be the organisations subject matter expert on risk and issue management, ensuring that all our change activity are proactively seeking out and managing risks as part of their routine approach, and that issues are handled swiftly and effectively in line with tolerances and specified levels of delegated authority. Working at the portfolio level you will be responsible for tracking and managing risks and issues, for driving out and testing assumptions and for controlling dependency between programmes. You will also assess and manage the impact of change at the portfolio level.

Working as part of our Standards and Assurance function you will act as a single point of contact on the application of RAID and other management controls, but you will also work closely with Portfolio Management colleagues responsible for planning, financial management and resource management. You will be a strong team player capable of building open and effective relationships with our more senior change leaders, establishing yourself and representing the wider team as a champion of best practice.

What you will bring…

Experience of operating risks, issues, and Controls activity within a project and/or programme environment

Good knowledge of a wide range of programme/project methodologies and demonstrable experience of applying them appropriately in different contexts (e.g., PRINCE 2, AGILE).

Experience of improving performance by coaching individuals to work differently and through embedding new practices and standards.

Tenacious, with an eye for detail and ability to pre-empt and solve problems.

An ability to influence senior stakeholders with wide ranging and often competing priorities.

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner  
  • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
