An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team undertaking a range of skilled gardening duties including planting, floral displays, pruning, tree care, hard and soft landscaping working from plans and specifications along with routine tasks such as grass cutting, weeding and laying turf and drainage.
Based at Stobhill Depot, Newtongrange you will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills with a good knowledge of Greenspace maintenance. You will drive and operate a range of equipment and plant such as vehicles with trailers, tractors with attachments, mini diggers, strimmers, power mowers and shears.
With previous supervisory experience and a driving licence which includes operation of trailers you will be required to hold or attain a weed killing certificate. During the winter you will be required to assist with the gritting programme.
The jobholder must hold a current driving license and be educated to SVQ2, National Certificate or demonstrate an equivalent level of competency.
A weed killing certificate, qualification to operate a mini digger and chainsaw, a chipper certificate and a first aid certificate are desirable.
