Communications and Marketing Officer

I am delighted to be recruiting for a part time, interim Communications and Marketing officer to join a charity based near to Southend on Sea. My client is seeking an experienced candidate who can advance the comms and Marketing for a specific scheme in support of young families. My client is reputable within the local community and looking for a great candidate to become part of their well-established team. They are offering 22.5 hours per week. As part of the communications team, your duties will include:

• Develop, review and implement the organisations Communications and Marketing plan
• Managing the website, including working with website developers, creation and maintenance of content, ensuring connectivity with other platforms and reporting on website analytics to ensure the project has an effective website meeting the needs of the scheme
• Monitor social media platforms and engage with any queries in a timely manner, plan output in accordance with strategy, work on organic and paid ad campaigns with Communications and Marketing Lead and create monthly social media analytics reports in order to improve the social media performance
• Develop and manage internal and external communications activities in line with the Comms plan
• Identify and co-ordinate company presence at events and attend accordingly, some of which may take place during evenings or weekends

The Person

• In order to be suitable for this post you should have a degree or equivalent qualification or should have equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience of working in a busy Communications and Marketing environment
• Proven experience of successfully implementing Communications and Marketing plans to deliver specific goals
• Experience of working and managing external suppliers, including managing budget allocations to secure best value for money
• Understanding of Canva and working with CMS including Wix and Wordpress, as well as SharePoint and Canva
