Marketing And Communications Executive

The Placement Group are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Executive to join our team on a 1-year maternity cover contract in Waltham Abbey. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our marketing efforts, ensuring the delivery of impactful campaigns and maintaining the highest standards of communication across all channels.

For the right candidate, there's potential for this role to transition into a permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious marketer to expand their industry experience or for a seasoned professional seeking a fresh challenge.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum

Contract Type: 1-Year Maternity Cover (with potential to become permanent).

Location: Waltham Abbey, Essex.

Full time: Monday-Friday, 1 day working from home per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels including email, text, and social media.
• Curate, schedule and manage social media content to optimise our online visibility and engagement.
• Oversee the approval process for all written marketing content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines.
• Assist with community management and growth by engaging with potential candidates on social media when required.
• Write content for industry-related blog posts.
• Assist with organising company events and parties!

Skills and experience:

• Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and tools, with experience in managing social media accounts for business purposes.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ideally, successful candidates will have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a marketing assistant or executive role.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Monday.com, Loomly, Mailchimp and Canva/Figma.
• An interest in design and a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
• University degree in marketing, publishing, graphic design or similar.
