Hays are supporting a leading Professional Services Consultancy based in Colchester, Essex, who are searching for a proactive Marketing & Digital Communications Officer to join their team on a hybrid & permanent basis. Working closely with the Managing Partner, you will be working in a varied role, leading all Marketing & Communications across the Firm\'s 7 offices.
Your new role
As the Marketing and Digital Communications Officer, you will be responsible for researching, developing and implementing new and existing marketing and communications plans, digital platforms and technologies across the Firm to increase brand awareness. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement a PR and social media strategy.
• Manage all PR and social channels, assisting with the creation and designing of engaging content; providing analysis on performance; and making recommendations for improvements through media monitoring, research, and testing.
• Assist with the management and maintenance of the external website and internal staff intranet, ensuring content is accurate, up to date and measuring its effectiveness through Google Analytics. Ensuring compliance with best practice in terms of quality, accessibility, search standard and improving the user experience.
• Set up, control, and evaluate ROI of social media and paid ad campaigns (Google AdWords)
• Provide in-house graphic design for online and offline channels, ensuring all marketing materials that are produced are effective, engaging and in line with brand guidelines.
• Deliver all work accurately, ensuring all press releases and materials are fully edited, proofed, and signed off by the relevant persons.
• Film and edit video content for use across digital channels.
• Support with the creation of photography and podcasts for social channels and the website.
• Develop, design, and create templates and content for email campaigns, ensuring best practice for all emails sent; and monitoring and analysing response rates.
• Support or lead on the management of projects & campaigns, including involvement in key client reviews and key client questionnaires.
• Oversee, develop, and maintain media relations.
• Assist with internal communications.
• Assist with researching and producing award entries, tender and bid documentation.
• Be involved and proactive in organising and participating in Firm activities as well as representing the Firm at external events.

What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful for this position, you will need previous experience in a Marketing or Communications role, with a strong background in PR and copywriting, including liaising with local, national, regional and trade press. It is also key that you have a broad-ranging skillset in creating website content, managing social media channels and using graphic design software. You will be a proactive and creative individual with good communication skills.
