This Creative Communications / Graphic Design Specialist will report to the Head of Communications, Media and Engagement and will work within the Human Resources directorate based in our London office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £40,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job purpose
UK Power Networks is looking for a motivated Creative Communications / Graphic Design Specialist to develop the design and creation of internal communications content.
Internal communications channels are important at UK Power Networks. Many of our employees are geographically dispersed or work out in the field. Compelling, high-quality communication is therefore essential to grab attention and ensure important messages are understood.
Through this role you'll help tell our story through creative internal content, boosting message recall and awareness of UK Power Networks important priorities among employees. You might be asked to design a creative campaign for anything from the world's biggest commercial electric vehicle trial, supporting vulnerable customers, enabling Net Zero, or our charitable work in the community.
Though the roles focus is internally facing, as part of a wider communications team there may be a requirement to support the wider digital communications team with externally facing social or web design content on occasion.
Principal responsibilities
Design creative internal communications content to support key internal communication and engagement campaigns
Work with the internal comms team, shared management of internal channels such as SharePoint, Yammer, video, and email
Collaborate with wider business leads to design informative campaigns
Create engaging video content in what is an increasingly relied upon channel to share messages among employees
Skills
A creative mind and eye
Graphic design - adobe creative suite (indesign, photoshop, illustrator)
HTML email design and knowledge of email campaign systems
SharePoint/Intranet design and knowledge of platforms
Understanding of print i.e., paper size, weight, print ready artwork
Brand knowledge i.e., logos, guidelines, templates, PowerPoint
Video editing, photographic skills.
Experience
Two years' experience in a similar Creative Communications role
Experience creating and delivering high quality internal communications content. You will be asked for examples of self-designed content at interview.
