Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Paralegal - Credit Hire (Motor Insurance) to join our fast paced and ever expanding team in Liverpool, working on projects with current and future clients.
The client is one of the UK's leading insurance law practices with specialist teams advising on all aspects of motor insurance. Offering expert advice on all types of claims, they have a proven track record of achieving bottom line savings for our clients.
Their specialist team is at the forefront of Credit Hire issues and has taken the lead in various test cases. Prevention is the best cure and we work with clients from the outset to develop strategies to control Credit Hire damages.
You must be an experienced Paralegal with an excellent understanding Personal Injury Litigation and demonstrable experience in a similar role, with solid litigation experience of dealing with Credit Hire claims and fast track litigation. You must have good attention to detail and the ability to handle a busy case-load.
As a Paralegal you will progress cases, with support, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients whilst providing and maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement. You will have some experience of multi-track work and have litigation Credit Hire experience.
Liverpool has been selected as the centre for this facility, and the office has been specifically redesigned and upgraded to offer a better, more contemporary working environment, utilising the latest technology and working practices. You will work alongside the existing Insurance, Corporate, Real Estate and Litigation teams.

What will I be doing?
- Action all Motor Insurance Claims (Defendant) cases in line with practice group/client service standards and protocols.
- Proactive use of case management systems to improve speed of settlement and MI compliance whilst ensuring compliance the client requirements.
- Pro-actively manage both internal and client MI and achievement of budgeted sales revenue, aligned to personal target or team target (as applicable).
- Manage specialist Credit Hire case-load involving complex Credit Hire litigation and indemnity disputes - level of authority to be decided.
- Manage a litigated case load involving liability disputes, indemnity disputes and quantum issues up to a value of £25K.
- Analyse risk and develop sound judgement to justify decisions in the management of cases.
- Prioritise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met.
- Work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload as dictated by the practice group.
If you feel that you have the necessary experience to apply for the vacancy and you have aspirations to work towards the LPC, ILEX qualifications whilst on route to securing a training contract to become a Solicitor or Legal Executive then we would like to hear from you. If however, you only have pre-litigation experience then unfortunately this role requires Post Litigation experience and your application will be deemed unsuccessful.
